So you have attended RIS 2011, and you have learnt some valuable information on how to “Strike the Balance”. Some of us even had the opportunity to attend “30 Days to Paradise”, a conference preparing us for the month of Ramadan. So now what?

The 6th annual “Haqeebatur-Ramadan” is an opportunity for you to strike that balance and prepare for the month of Ramadan in a way that will not only benefit you, but the many indigent Muslims who live just down the road from us. Due to the dire need for aid in our community, this year’s Ramadan program will be divided into two phases. The first phase will commence from 9am on Saturday, 30 July 2011 at Darul-Islam Boys High School (Greenhaven). On this day we hope to fill 1500 food parcels which will be delivered to identified areas.

We are also hoping to encourage as many people to join the convoys distributing the parcels to the families in the areas where the relief is most needed. Transport will be made available for those wishing to visit and hand the parcels over to the families.

Please note that you do not need to bring anything except more people to assist in this endeavour. All the goods have been purchased. All we need is hands to fill and distribute the goods to the indigent on our database.

We therefore, humbly request that you join us in sharing the reward of assisting the many underprivileged Muslims in Cape Town in our endeavour to provide some relief for them during this very special period leading up to the occasion of Ramadan. Your support will be greatly appreciated even if you are only able to spare us one hour of your time.

It is not the MSA or any other organisation that presents opportunities to do good and effect change but the opportunity comes from Allah. Take every opportunity you can in this world to build a better one in the Hereafter.
