Members of the Africa 1 Aid convoy

The Africa 1 Aid convoy that journeyed through Africa en route to Palestine this year, proved to be a major success. A pioneer of its kind in the country, the Al-Quds humanitarian project aimed to spread the message of Islam and create awareness about Palestinian issues across the continent, before crossing over into Gaza to attend to the basic needs of Palestinians. The project was met with gratitude by the locals who requested that A1A members bid salaam to all of South Africa.

Sharing tales of their remarkable experiences, members of the convoy will be present at the next MSA of the Cape and Youth for Al-Quds Foundation event, We Will Never Forget.

This event will be held on Friday 14th October, after Maghrib (at 19:15) in the upstairs section of Habibia Masjid.

Guests include Basel Agbaria (a Palestinian youth), Yusuf Mohamed, Arshad Samodien, Yacoub Abrahams and Rabia Gabriels.

I'tikaaf at Al-Quds

Relating an altogether different experience of Palestine, are guest speakers Afzal Salie and Saleem Hoosen, two of the 130 international visitors to Palestine, who were fortunate to enter Jerusalem and perform I’tikaaf at Masjid Al-Aqsa Al-Mubarak.

The programme will end with Qiyaam-ul-Layl, led by Sheikh Ismail Londt.

Food and Palestinian novelties will be on sale at the event, in aid of Palestine. All are welcome to attend. For those who do intend to come, we request that you wear Palestinian scarves to show your support for the people of Palestine.
