“And if they argue with thee, (O Muhammad), say: I have surrendered my purpose to Allah and (so have) those who follow me. And say unto those who have received the Scripture and those who read not: Have ye (too) surrendered? If they surrender, then truly they are rightly guided, and if they turn away, then it is thy duty only to convey the message (unto them). Allah is Seer of (His) bondmen.”(Quran 3:20) Our Dawah - We
believe in Allah, the One and Only God, His Names and Attributes. We
believe in the Angels, all the Books of Allah revealed in their
original form, all the messengers of Allah including the final Prophet
Muhammad (pbuh), in his Sunnah (way of life) and his Ahadith (sayings).
We also believe in the Day of Reckoning, the Life after Death, and that
the power of good and evil lies solely with Allah.
- Our method
that we adopt for Da’wah is in conjunction with the teachings of the
Qur’an and the Sunnah of the beloved Prophet (pbuh). We do not force
anyone to accept Islam. We merely convey the message to them and
explain to the best of our ability the magnificence and rational
teachings of this highest moral code of life.
- We believe that
our youth are our most valuable assets, raw material from which forth
will be produced great leaders, scholars, writers, and professionals of
tomorrow. The youth constitute the foundational grounds upon which will
be built the edifice of a Great Islamic Nation, and the stability and
greatness of this nation is highly dependent on their moral upbringing
and education.
- We make no distinction as far as knowledge is
concerned. There is no such thing as ‘Islamic knowledge’ and ‘secular
knowledge’. Rather we believe that all knowledge is beneficial as long
as it leads you towards Islam and a greater appreciation of Allah and
His bounties. We believe in always striving to be of those who follow
the path of moderation and are totally against those who form part of
the two extremes. We try our level best to promote the concept of
‘balance’ in whatever we do, to weigh the good against the evil and
make correct and informed decisions. Allah does not restrict man’s
progress as long as we do not contravene or exceed the limits and
boundaries that He has set for us.
- This work that we have
volunteered to do, to promote Islam, all our efforts in striving to
follow in the footsteps of the Beloved Prophet (pbuh) and uphold this
beautiful religion of Islam, is more beloved to us than our own selves,
our wealth and those we love, and we are not prepared to part with it
for all the gold or silver of this world.

Why Your Support is Essential
The
road towards fulfilling the goals of our Da’wah and Education Portfolio
is indeed an arduous one. From the distribution of Da’wah material to
the management of the Exhibitions and international delegates, manpower
is indeed an unfortunate necessity and striving to be the best we can,
we will require more efficiency and commitment from ourselves. Without
doubt we cannot achieve our vision alone and this would take a great
deal of support from the community in the form of volunteers. As
Portfolio manager, I invite one and all to join the MSA of the Cape
volunteer programme and support us in our quest to continue the call
towards Islam and its beautiful teachings; a call devoid of
partisanship, politics and sectarianism. We do not pay any of our
volunteers but we also do not refuse you your right to the rewards from
Allah for volunteering your time and limited skills towards spreading a
pure understanding of Islam. |
