Islamic Relief HIV program

Assalaamualaykum

Positive Living as a program of Islamic Relief Worldwide is a response to the increasing rate of HIV infections daily. It is apparent that the broader Muslim community lacks accurate knowledge and information about HIV/AIDS. Through the Orphans and Vulnerable children’s program, Islamic Relief South Africa has learnt about the experiences and incidents of stigma, discrimination and basic neglect of people living with HIV and AIDS.  This prompted us to initiate Positive Living as a separate program within Islamic Relief Worldwide in 2009.

We would like to invite you to a meeting on Saturday 25th July 2009 from 15h30pm -17h00pm to discuss the way in which medical professionals like yourself can become an HIV trainer within the Islamic Relief Positive Living Network.

The meeting will be held at our new offices at 62 Little Road, Athlone.

If this interests you please be so kind as to contact Nuraan Osman on 0837122703 or 021 6961045 or nuraan@islamic-relief.co.za

Sincerely

Nuraan Osman
